“You really have to ask? Of course he deserved it, he was an asshole and I think you know that yourself. Hell, anyone could tell you that.” He was harsh when it came to speaking about Haines, the amount of bullshit he put the ‘unholy trinity’ through wasn’t fair.
"Listen, Dave may have worked for him and yeah, some shit was a little fucked up with him but he wasn’t on a level of corruption that Steve was. If anything, he’s a good guy. Steve left Dave and I to die when things got tough, doesn’t that sound wonderful?”
Oh look, it’s the infamous sarcasm, maybe he tried a bit too hard to protect Dave but he had been real help for him beforehand. “Listen, he’s corrupt but in the good way. He’s nothing you need to know anything about, isn’t that what you wanna hear?”

Fallon raised an eyebrow at his remarks, mentally noting his words in her head as her dark eyes scanned the man’s face. She noted the flickers of resentment that flashed across Michael’s features as he spoke of Haines, she couldn’t say they were unfamiliar when it came to mentioning the FIB agent. Many of the people she’d spoken to had near identical reactions. The differences between those people, however, was the man’s brash tone.
“Left you for dead…? Can’t exactly say that’s on record. Care to elaborate?” she tilted her head to the side, feigning innocent curiosity.
At the mention of Dave, she couldn’t help letting a scoff pass her lips, “Corrupt but in the good way?” she let out a frustrated sigh, “Call me old fashioned, but I don’t see the difference between good and bad corruption. Especially not in a city like this one,”
