The thought of losing the only possible survivor just replayed through the small girls mind like a broken record. Out of the two of them, she knew that Fallon would be one to conquer this world and to beat it. Rylee didn’t stand a chance on her own. The poor girl was only 10 years old, her mind still not even fully developed to obtain everything that has happened. The things she’s had to witness. Even Rylee wasn’t completely sure how she lasted this long in this messed up world, but she knew for a fact that she would survive if she had Fallon with her. Rylee had complete faith in the other female, knowing that she would make it out.

Hearing the sound of the first gunshot was enough to trigger the small girls nerves to twitch and cause her to body to jerk slightly. A few tears lubricating her eyes once again hoping that she was alright. The second gunshot fired and didn’t have the same effect although her piercing blue eyes were glued in the direction of where she saw Fallon come through the window. Nothing but pure happiness now evident on her face knowing she was still alive.

Fallon felt her heart in her throat as her feet pounded against the ground, feeling her entire weight pummel the ground as she attempted to block out the groans behind her. The tall grass whipped against the woman’s legs as she made her way into the thicket, wanting to sea of overgrown greenery to swallow her form. Eyes frantically scanning the tall blades, she took a moment’s paused to seek out the young girl, to make absolutely sure that she’d sought safety.

“Rylee? Rylee!” her voice was hoarse, every syllable like sandpaper on the inside of her throat. She whipped around to see the advancing walkers, shakily raising her weapon to fire another shot, missing to the right. “Rylee!"
